Tech industry leaders Apple and Google have fallen off of YouGov?s BrandIndex top-10 ?Buzz Rankings? list in the U.S., which rates the top companies in America by brand perception.?The firm recently published its mid-2013 rankings and found that Ford jumped from No.6 in 2012 to the top spot with a score of 31, while Amazon is now ranked second among all brands in the U.S. with a score of 29.9. In fact, the only other technology brands to place in the top-10 were YouTube at No.8 and Amazon?s Kindle brand, which came in at No.9 with a score of 23.7. Kindle?s ranking may improve further as Amazon?gets ready to unveil three new Kindle Fire tablets later this year, according to a recent exclusive report from BGR. Also of note, BlackBerry ranked higher than it has in two years with a score of 5.3. While it didn?t come close to ranking in the top-10, this is at least a good sign that the company?s marketing efforts are paying off in some ways.
